I just love this series by Elise Sax. This latest instalment is wickedly funny. The heroine Fiona is delightfully dim-witted as she seeks out a way to save her family’s orchard from a rival landowner. When all other attempts fail, she decides she must hire someone to kill him. Enter Ronin, who is more than he appears. Their chemistry is steamy, and their adventure is laugh out loud funny.
Angie Hickman is a fabulous narrator. She sets just the right tone of scatter-brained innocence for Fiona, and you can hear the exaggerated patience in her portrayal of Ronin as he tries to manage and help Fiona without unnecessarily killing anyone or getting killed themselves.
I highly recommend this audiobook for nonstop fun and a little mystery and romance, too.
