Cendrine West (Cen) is a journalist and a witch, although she tries to ignore the latter. She is helping her family prepare for the grand opening of the Family Inn in Westwick Corner. She is engaged to be married to the soon to be mayor, and is having a rehearsal dinner for the wedding, when she literally falls over a dead body. While trying to hide the family secret of witchcraft, she helps the sheriff Tyler to solve the murder that her aunt was framed for.

This is the first book in the Westwick Witches series. It is such a cute and light story. Cen stumbles over a dead body and her crazy aunt is the prime suspect. She needs to assist the handsome cop to unravel the mystery to save her aunt, all the while trying to deal with her aunts shenanigans. Its such a hoot!

Petrea narrated very well, i loved her character impressions, particularly for Cen’s aunt!

Overall i would recommend this story for an easy comedic read as a fun cosy mystery.
