At 55 hours for a single credit, I had low expectations, but the other positive reviews convinced me to give it a try.
Yes, it’s another end-of-the-world, collect all the guns and ammo story, but it was fun and made my commutes a little more entertaining for a few weeks.
I thought the author had some original ideas in the first few books, but things start to feel a bit repetitive and hackneyed, especially in books 7, 8, and 9. The Murphy character in particular turns into kind of a cartoon character in the second half, sacrificing personality for a bunch of overused one-liners.
Still, for one credit, it’s an incredible deal. Easy to digest, fun to listen to – happy to recommend it.
