SE Smith has written a great installment to the Zion Warriors series which I hope she plans to continue with although I have no clue how she has the time or the ability to keep all the series straight.
The narrator, David Brenin, who has narrated all the SE Smith books I have listened to, has once again done a fantastic job. He has the ability to not only bring a story to life but read the characters in such a way that you automatically know which one is speaking. He is so good that it seems he has an unending supply of voices since none of the characters ever seem to sound the same as I go from book to book. Whether it is a female or male, David Brerin is fantastic at his job. He also gets the nuances of the characters perfectly. When a narrator is reading and you know the character is being derisive or sarcastic and instead is made to sound perky, the entire book is ruined. I can only guess he must read these books before he actually narrates them, which seems logical but I have listened to enough audio books to think it perhaps isn’t always the case. I will also bring up the fact that as this is a romance, the "love scenes" are not narrated in such a way that you are either cringing or embarrassed if someone catches you listening to it. When you are reading to yourself it is totally different than when you a listening to what has been written.
