Sweet Home Louisiana was a fun, fast-paced second chance romance. Maddie and Owen generated a lot of laughs as well as a lot of heat.

At first, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Maddie. She was so determined to keep everyone at arm’s length and I didn’t understand why she was pushing everyone away. As we got further in the book, I grew to love her feistiness and sass. She was willing to take on anyone to defend those she loves.

Owen was a sweetheart. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for those he cared about. He had always loved Maddie and just wanted her to be happy.

The narration was pleasant to listen to and I though both narrators did a good job. Tanner De Bruyne really brought Owen to life and I could picture the scene in my head. Angie Hickman also did a great job of narrating Maddie. However, I didn’t love her narrations for other characters. They sounded a little too hick for my taste.

Overall, this was a delightfully, charming tale set in the Louisiana Bayou and will definitely bring a smile to your face.
