the premise is interesting, and occasionally the story delivers. enough that I was disappointed at the sudden ending. but the story always takes a backseat to the authors ‘humor’. most writers in this genre seem to enjoy puns. this author LOVES puns. no. not puns, Dad Jokes. complete with elbow jabs, eyebrow wiggles, and over the top self-satisfied laughter. at least the social commentary was subtle in book 1.
the narrators were good, though the voice of limpet was more 12 year old than 18 yr old girl.
overall, if you go in loving puns and mel brooks movies, you’ll probably enjoy this book.
