Locker Nine is an intriguing start to a psuedo-post-apocalyptic series. I loved that it not only followed a person who had been somewhat trained and prepared for disaster situations and how to survive them, but presented a realistic way in which a collapse could occur (not just “magically now there are zombies or electricity no longer works”) and also shows the descent of a person not prepared and how they try to adapt and survive. The presentation also presented some reasonable precautions anyone could take to prepare for lesser, more probable emergency situations (local major natural disaster, extended power outage for a metropolitan area, etc), which was a nice way to fit in the author’s views on steps reasonable people should take without being overly heavy-handed and going “everyone should be a prepper!”. If you enjoy disaster or post-apocalyptic tales, this listen is recommended for you!
