Would you try another book from Blaise Corvin and/or Jeff Hays?
Possibly, the ideas are fun and maybe later books in the series may even be more polished as often happens for writers, but I got tired of the writing style very quickly and just couldn’t keep going.
What was most disappointing about Blaise Corvin’s story?
Too much was revealed directly without any subtlety or cleverness. It felt like a power fantasy I’d have written in early high school. It reminded me of Off to Meet the Wizard, which I also didn’t like enough to finish, but a lot of people clearly did, so this would likely appeal to those readers.
