Now I am not sure fun is quite the right word to use when talking about a disaster story, but that word sums up my feelings on Faulted. I’ve read and listened to several books by Jacqueline Druga and have always found her stories to be entertaining, and this was is indeed entertaining but it also felt somewhat forgettable. I don’t mean that as an insult. The disaster that rains down (literally) on your cast of characters was cool, the disaster scenes well written. Likewise the cast was fairly interesting. And yet because of the cast, the main cast that is, the story itself felt small. Personal sure, but small. While it kept me entertained from start to finish, it was also somewhat forgettable. None of characters or precise events stayed with me the way some books do. But that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This was like a fun summer popcorn flick. One I watched and enjoyed but a week later had forgotten all the details. But the nice thing about movies/books like this is that I know I can come back to it again sometime down the road and enjoy it again as if for the first time. I hope that makes some semblance of sense.

The book is narrated by the talented Andrew B. Wehrlen, who as always did a wonderful job. I thoroughly enjoyed his narration and will be listening to more of his work in the future.
