This is a fun little cozy mystery, and was my first Daisy McDare audiobook. Aside from just guessing, there really weren’t enough clues for me to figure out who the villain was until big secrets were suddenly revealed near the end that gave the answer away. These secrets weren’t alluded to or shown via clues. They were just presented because someone had told Daisy “off-screen” about them. It didn’t take away from the story, but if you like to try to figure the mystery out yourself, there weren’t enough clues for me to do it. Still, I enjoyed listening to the story, and Daisy’s spunky spirit and chocolate addiction were fun.
The narration was great. Angie really channels Daisy’s spirit and energy. Her depiction of the other characters is great too.
I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
