The series is well written and narrated superbly. I feel like some of the negative reviews are spawned by the impossible scenarios our protagonists find themselves in. The story captures the violence with very little vulgarity. The story was thoughtful, and some of the aloofness in the first part of the series comes from the fact that no one expects what comes quickly and mercilessly. Great read. Worth the coin, in my opinion.
