I have read and listened to many of McKenzie Hunter book and this was the first time I didn’t finish one. The story line seemed interesting and the narrator was good. The writing however was exhausting. Yes exhausting. It seems like a theraus was open the entire time it was writen. Everytime there was a description of something; clothes, person, environment, location, and especially a feeling or emotion the words used were words that NO ONE uses in everyday conversation. If it hadn’t been for the context around the words I would have had to pull a dictionary to look up words. I was disappointed that I couldn’t continue to listen.
