This is one of those books that frustrate me.

Half way through the book I’d already decided I would finish reading it, but I wasn’t going to read the rest of the series. Then I get to the end and the story was just interesting enough that I have to read the next book to find out what happens, but I’m mad about it. lol

I don’t know if it’s the writing style, the story itself or something else… but I just couldn’t get into it. The MC, Blue or Southside as she’s referred to most of the book, pisses me off. I really don’t like her at times. I love that she cares for her sister and tries hard to take care of things, but then she is a complete idiot with the guy. EVEN while saying she is an idiot, I mean come on.

Another thing that turned me off was the friend hounding her to go see her brother because he had something so important to tell her, and then he didn’t tell her anything! He could have easily passed that vague AF warning through the friend.

Despite all of that, I want to know what the dad is up to, and how it ties to the vague warning her brother gave her.

Sigh… on to book two.
