While I frequently watch thrillers and mysteries, I don’t often read them. Exit Strategy served as a great introduction to the genre. Quick paced and with enough complexity to keep the listener guessing, this book is skillfully narrated by Petrea Burchard, whose wide range of character voices truly lifts Cross’s work off the page.
This is book 1 through which Kat Carter is introduced as a forensic accountant, brought in to investigate a case of corporate fraud. What she uncovers results in a wild romp through the streets of Vancouver, Buenos Aires, and the global diamond trade.
