a decent book for YA fiction. if you’re looking for adult work, this isn’t it. dialogue between characters feels like Disney/ Nickelodeon interaction. no real reasoning for the interactions beyond chance. a lot of sudden “gifts” to resolve problems immediately presented there after. overall okay, but definitely feels like “ready player one” without the pop culture to ground everything into unity. so everything feels just there for the scene without a connecting reason long term
it’s decent for YA. and below Okay for anything else. got the trilogy package, but stopping after book 1
