People who are already interested in science and/or true crime will find this book pretty interesting and it might even sway true crime lovers into science writing and vice versa. It’s hard for me to imagine anyone who doesn’t already have an interest in one of those two topics picking this up, but who knows? I didn’t think it was particularly graphic (a concern when writing about decomposing corpses) and found it very respectful to the victims. A few of the team members come across a bit cowboy-ish, in a way that makes me suspect I wouldn’t care for them if I came across them in real life. But as long as they are doing good work, I guess they can cowboy away!
