I’m thoroughly enjoying the adventures of Captain Carl and his band of goodhearted scoundrels. Each chapter is an interesting story on its own, each with a different premise, but woven together chronologically. Emphasis is on the characters, but the combination of magic and tech (or disastrous non-combining of them) adds dimension to the story and depth to the backstories of the characters. 85 hours of listening seems like a steal for just one credit – I feel right at home with the crew. The narration and voice characterizations are easy to listen to and very well done. I actually stopped listening around Chapter 12 because I didn’t want the stories to end, but and back at it again. Looking forward to more from J.S. Morin and Mikael Naramore. Thanks!
