The story itself was pretty decent. The book is well written, and there are a couple of twists you don’t see coming. But once you’ve figured out what’s going on, you might actually get kind of angry that you burned your credit for the month on a re-write of Stephen Kings’s Misery. I don’t want to bash the author too much because she seems talented and doesn’t deserve a super harsh review. I’ll definitely more of her work, I just kind of felt like this was the remake nobody asked for and we didn’t really need. The story on its own was engaging, particularly if you’ve never read Misery, and the narration was great. So if you don’t celebrate Stephen King’s entire catalogue like I do, give this one a go.
