C.A. Harms pulled me in with this sweet,sexy, hot southern listen. I love the stories where they love each other for the longest time. Madelyn in this book declared her love for Lucas when she was 9 and he was 10. Time changes people, yet the soft spot remained regardless of his lack of attention. I really enjoyed seeing the characters mature in this book and follow their dreams. The sacrifice that Madelyn was willing to do was awesome.
The performance by Sarah Puckett was spectacular. She added the right emotions and had distinguished voices for the various characters. I can’t say enough good things about this book, author or narrator. I loved it!
