Not a fan of the shift in dungeon focus / theme. The whole pokeman thing makes it less absurd dungeon crawl and more fan fic about the absurd dungeon crawl. But the main criticism is that Carl and Donut are a lot less intelligent and more caricatures of themselves rather than the more nuanced characters from before. They have unlearned lessons and instead embraced their flaws. It is a disappointing character arc and seems solely there as a plot crutch to move the sotry forward in unbelievable ways. I’ll take a break before coming back to finish this one.
