Rich character building, space opera. Interweaving story arcs in a really long (in a good way) engaging audio series. Touches at times on ethical dilemmas in a way that attracted viewers of ST:TOS and DS9. Imperfect hero, a likable rogue who finds opportunities to make the galaxy right while living by his wits. It is soft science fiction, but tries to be internally consistent. Manages to not sound stupid the way many shows do in sloppily violating physics laws
Excellent narrator with many varied voices, intonations, and cadence of speech for males; admirable for females so you can readily keep multiple male and female characters in a scene apart.
Those who wished Firefly had 6 additional seasons, this will keep you enthralled.
Bought the sequel.
