The main character in this book starts off slow with a very depressing backstory. Quickly though the story moves on to the main attraction which is Awaken Online. I enjoyed thoroughly the process in which Finn figures out a different approach to conquering the same obstacles as other characters in previous books. In a lot of ways I was frustrated with how Finn decided to proceed, since I would never choose this path myself. With that said, due to the very high intellect of the main character and the way he chose to proceed and grow his strength he is more apt to become the strongest and most strategic player in the series. Finn could be the strongest character as of yet, if he proceeds on this path, not only fully understanding the game and how to win but also understanding how the technology works and how to bend it to it his will. Very interesting and very fun read. I would say my only complaint is the ending in which I felt that it was somewhat rushed and should have played out a little bit more in terms of what kind of fallout or results the final duel created. This book is well worth getting into and I can see that the stories will eventually merge which I’m looking forward to.
