Finally a woman heroine instead of the typical damsel in distress!

So many books I’ve listened to in this genre portray their leading ladies as poor little damsels in distress. Even when their lives or the lives of their children are threatened. That is so incredibly inaccurate, offensive and frustrating to female listeners.
Finally an author who gives a woman and mother character the gusto she deserves!
