Don’t get me wrong, this is no James Joyce or Brandon Sanderson, but it is a good story that is well written. With 40 hours of audio, I still wanted more, perhaps both for good and bad reasons. The good was the story has a nice flow and the characters are likeable. I did wish that some of the relationships were drawn out more. It’s as if the author forgot about certain characters and in other places didn’t tie loose ends.

In the closing notes of the book, the writer states that he really tried to make all aspects of the plot as plausible as possible. I’d give him about 75% there, but I appreciated the effort.

Overall, if you like the Post-Apo EMP/CRE genre, you will like this. I also think you’ll see what I mean about this being written by an actual writer.

Enjoy!
