Main character does not dodge. It seems like a small thing but half way through the book I found myself screaming “MOVE, GET OUT OF THE WAY. WHY ARE YOU JUST STANDING THERE” Fight after fight he lets his opponent take free shots at him. By the end of the book I knew I would not be getting book two. I suppose the writer would tell me the MC has a shield. I would reply. “A shield that only blocks some damage. The rest of the damage goes straight to the MC. Move before your shield gets hit or after it gets hit . I don’t care,,, just MOVE”
