After falling completely for Dylan in Rule Breaker, I didn’t expect to like this book nearly as much. With a little less banter and more emotion than Book 1 of the Mixed Messages series, Deal Breaker is one of my favorite books in a very long times. Lily Morton builds her characters one layer at a time, adding complexity and interest and more and more heart until the very end, when she leaves her readers incredibly satisfied and missing the main characters. I want more, and I’m a bit desperate for the next book in the series. This is touching and funny and at times so very emotional that like a madman I was laughing and crying at the same moment. Brilliant, Lily Morton. And there’s a special place in narrator’s heaven for Joel Leslie.
