I have enjoyed all of Franklin Horton’s books, and liked the Mad Mick character when he introduced him in a previous book. He definitely deserved a stand alone story. The story and characters where fresh and likeable, and Kevin Pierce’s narration is outstanding. Although this is a spin off of another book series, you can easily follow this story on it’s own.
