I like Colleen Cross’s Westwick Witches Mysteries a lot so when she offered this book to me I thought why not, it’s something different, let’s check it out… And I’m glad I did. The book is a fast-paced thriller with quite a few good twists in the plotline and the main character who sometimes acts a bit reckless and with no regard to her own safety but is unstoppable in her search for truth and justice. The other characters are equally well written, with a few secrets of their own and motivations that make their behaviour plausible and logical.
I had a bit of a problem with following all the financial explanations (it’s not my field of expertise at all:)) but it didn’t really prevent me from getting totally involved in the investigation:)
Narration by Ms Burchard is great. The pace is good and voices well done (as in all the books I listened to in her interpretation). A narrator worth returning to.
