This book is an action packed alternate fantasy about a guy who is transported from the world we know of science and technology to one built on the laws of magic. If your thinking that the concept sounds cliche your not wrong; boy get transported to alternate fantasy world certainly isn’t new but cliche does not equal bad. The author takes the concept and tells an enjoyable story. I don’t think there was a wasted scene at all in the book which is great… though I didn’t go though it with a fine tooth comb. I am sure you could poke holes if you tried hard enough; heck I was enjoying it so I probably subconsciously dismissed any note worthy incongruities.
