I really wasn’t expecting this to be so remarkable and special. So layered and soaked in character development, delicious drama, beauty and love. So intensely unstoppable with its breathtaking chemistry and sizzling slow-burn. And so well-written the hours flew by all too quickly so I drip-fed myself the last few climactic chapters because I just didn’t want it to end. This is no ordinary Mafia arranged marriage tale and it’s a refreshingly unique experience to journey with gentle Rosa and angry Tiernan through the angst and unwanted emotions that brought in Shay and Colin into their push n pull toxic marriage. To say this is ‘just another reverse harem story’ would do this gifted author’s world-building a huge injustice.. her flawed and her sweet characters and her plot’s beautiful build of emotions drew me in from the very start until the very end. Yes there were some hot scenes included in this love story but, IMO, that’s absolutely not what this journey’s about. And Alexander Neal’s three person POV’s was five star perfection and Maeve York was good too. Each book is written by a different author.. and now I’m eagerly tracking down all that are currently available.
Worth a credit? Shhhh.. it’s worth two 😉.
