I’ve just finished my second sojourn through these books. It was like returning to a favorite restaurant: familiar, welcoming, and satisfying. The world created around Captain Ishmael Wong was grounded enough to be comfortable and exotic enough to keep me turning pages. The perspective of a future in space without huge space battles and a super baddies bent on galactic domination was unique and compelling. I could see myself living in this world of everyday life. Especially with the coffee, bacon, and Frank’s Finest. If you are looking for something different but still a fun ride, I hight recommend the series. Well done.
