At first I was a bit hesitant to listen to this especially through the first chapter or so, I had thought the partner was going to be absolutely obnoxious when the jokes started flying out. But honestly this book had me cracking up with the main character’s dynamics, I absolutely adored Chevy’s melodramatic inner dialogue and Seneca’s ridiculous sense of humor. The mystery and intrigue of Page’s background and the murders were well thought through and kept me playing this for as long as I could listen.
I would have enjoyed a bit more development in our dynamic duo’s past and more interaction with other characters but honestly this book was fantastic. Can’t wait to listen to more from this author!
Joel was amazing as always, giving life to characters with his impressive range of accents and voices, it was a little over the top in places but after a while you just become immersed.
Highly recommend!
