One of the things I enjoyed about this trilogy is while all three books build off one another, they work so well as individual stories. Fair Trade especially works as its own tale, being massive in scale compared to its two predecessors. There is a lot of content as far as story and characters, and it is appropriately paced. I was never left feeling disinterested. My only concern lies with one or two minor plot points that were left vague or unaddressed, but I feel they don’t take away from the main plot.

If you are a fan of talking animal people and (high) science fiction, I would definitely recommend this book and any of the books associated with this trilogy and universe. It is a blast.
