First, I loved the outtakes at the end. I was crying with the narrator as he tried to keep a straight face during the reading.
“You bet I can, Nipps!”
Second, I haven’t laughed this hard since the first Critical Failures (not the others). The author doesn’t do what other authors do in the genre and go over the top with his superheroes or villains. The constant DC/Marvel references are awesome.
“Callum, you son of a bitch.”
The Butterfly King was absolutely hilarious. The codenames were well done. The story was well executed and had great character and setting building.
Keep an eye on this series. I am eagerly awaiting the next book and plan to try out his Space Team series.
