First, Joel Leslie does an amazing performance. You can’t refer to his work as simply narration. He brings the characters alive and his various accents and genders are spot on. I would never read a book he’s narrated when I could enjoy his storytelling.

This book is both funny yet thought-provoking. Mark and Jonathan dance around each other for years before danger and murder force them to run. Mark’s running commentary is hilarious, yet there is a dark view Price has of the virus and its effects on society at large. I’m sure other reviewers have given hints on the plot, so I’ll finish by saying that this book will stay with you long after you’re through. Make sure to listen to the short story (included) and the author’s note at the end. Highly recommended.
