In fiction they have a section for cozy mysteries that all have similar plots, if there is such a thing for superhero/villain cozy plots this belongs on the virtual shelf. This was incredibly similar to Almost Infamous and some of the other stories I’ve listened to on Audible. That made me kind of sad. As was mentioned by at least two other reviewers the narration has a major flaw. The protagonist has a cloak that has a personality that he talks to, but the narrator choose not to modulate his voice when reading the two parts most of the time. I knew about the issue going in from having read the reviews but it was needlessly confusing at times. I thought it took away from the action scenes. I do like Jeffrey Kafer as a narrator but I did not enjoy this work very much. It was a familiar story that wasn’t bad, but didn’t engage me.
