When I began this book, I didn’t know what to expect. Not being a big time travel listener, I was a little cautious at first and within the first chapter was captivated. This is not your usual time travel story, and it’s full of history, danger and a love that is tested through time. Roam is a 17 year old student, who walks into her history class, meeting her teacher for the first time. But is it? We find out that West, her teacher has been searching for her his whole life, and their child will be the key to saving the world. They have 7 attempts to bring this to fruition, and 6 times, evil has won out. Now it’s their last chance. Will they figure out the way to win and save the world? It’s a fantasy, but so much more. It’s a love story that stands the test of time. It’s good vs. evil. It’s history repeating itself. I was sucked into each time, each part of their story and felt their passion and pain. The revelation of people who are involved is shocking and the ending is both wonderful and heart breaking. It’s definitely set up for the next book, and I can’t wait to see what Kimberly Adams has in store for them next!
Kelli Tager is amazing. What a talent she is! There are a lot of characters, and she intuitively finds each one’s personality and fits a voice to them. She made the listen entertaining and I really enjoyed her performance.
