I have a low tolerance for fake Australian accents, they’re rarely done well and usually too distracting to listen to. This book is set in Australia and both main characters are Australian.
Joel Leslie narrates as Reed and his accent is absolutely flawless, I actually googled him to check if he is really Australian because I know I’ve heard him use an English accent before.
Unfortunately Antony Ferguson’s accent is all over the place, sometimes a bit Kiwi, sometimes a bit South African, sometimes a bit British but never consistent and rarely hitting the right vowels to sound Australian. Still, I’ve heard worse and he otherwise reads well enough that I was able to ignore the accent mostly and not get too distracted.
