Once Bitten is an imaginative, well written story with interesting storylines and supernatural characters. Trina M. Lee is creating a world where Werewolves, Vampires, Witches, Angels & Demons live amongst humans. The lead female character, Alexa, is a werewolf but also holds the power of magic. Alexa finds herself in a triangle, in love with Shaz, a werewolf and pack-mate. And then there is Arys, the vampire she has a bond with, a magical bond. There is great chemistry between Alexa and Shaz, he is a nice guy and he grounds her. The chemistry between Arys and Alexa is powerful. I felt Shaz was her light and Arys her dark, like the difference between night and day or goodness and evil. The secondary characters are interesting and add a lot to the story too. This is a great start to the series, I feel Alexa is just coming in to her own, it is going to be interesting to see her grow in to her powers and the direction of her relationships. This is an action-packed story with drama, mystery, suspense, twists and some hot romance.
I listened to the Audible Edition, Sarah Puckett is an awesome narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters and story to life from the pages to your ears. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to!
