What a great start to the Shadows Ascending Trilogy. I can’t wait to hear more!
Jenn D. Young has written a fast-paced and interest paranormal romance, and Lorelei and Vincent are complicated characters. I loved that we hear Lorelei’s story from the beginning – we start with her as a child and by the end of this installment, she’s a young woman. The backstory of her childhood really adds to the overall storyline and the strength of the character. It’s also interesting to see the evolution of her relationship with Vincent.
Sarah Puckett and Tim Paige are really good narrators that give these paranormal characters the grit and growl that they need to be successful. I really enjoyed this first book, and can’t wait for more!
