Morin topled Brandon Sanderson from his throne. Beat Orson Scott Card at his best, and ripped apart any other author I can think of with this one. Black Ocean and the Galaxy Outlaws truly is a successor story of epic proportion to the Firefly series. What is so utterly fantastic is that Morin does it with such flash and class that you would think Joss got the idea for Firefly from Morin and not the other way around. Some tropes were used, but expertly. Strangly enough the Magic system is my favorite part of this rag tag sci-fi world. It made me love magic like I did as a child. My hat goes off to you, Morin. Bravo. F’ing Bravo.
