I thoroughly enjoyed this book. From a young age listening to my grandfather’s WW2 war stories. Those of which he thought appropriate for me at the time. Which made me love history. He always told me if I see a ww2 vet. To say thank you for there service and ask them if them if they were willing to share a story. To listen to them because they were not getting any younger. I have met many vets and never thought to write their stories down. I’m glad the author had this mission. Which inspired me to write down all my grandfather’s stories. So that my children and maybe one day grandchildren will know of what he and millions of other men did for this country.
