I spend many hours alone and use audiobooks to entertain me. I must have listened to hundreds of hours to books containing the “end of the world” or the “zombie apocalypse” subject and I believe this subject can only be described from a finite number of angles. However, every once in a while, I come across a book that truly intrigues me, not only because of the subject matter but also the character development and, of course, the factual part of a story. What I mean is the probability of the actions a character takes. Is it physically possible to do or not? An example would be the author describing a chase scene and the character tries to escape by jumping onto a moving train or car. Is, what is being described, actually possible? The same goes with the limitations of a human body and what they can actually achieve. These are my ways to determine if the book was a good read or not. I can say without hesitation that this was a fun and exciting read. The story was plausible, the characters interesting and the narrator was not boring. I would give it ten stars if possible and I’m looking forward to more books from this author.
