This is Dwayne Alexander Smith’s second novel and My first time reading him. After reading The Unkind Hours I’ll make it a point to read his critically acclaimed and controversial debut novel Forty Acres.

This book is exactly what I needed to get me out of my reading rut.

The Unkind Hours was Smart, Intense and Suspenseful all the way through. Smith is an excellent writer and in the audiobook version the narration of Tom Jordan made the plot come alive. This one had twists and turns galore and I can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like about this story.
