Excellent production, fun and indulgent story.

This is essentially a futurist Pokémon story with heart. Production value was A+ and ventured into new territory with the inclusion of music as it pertained to the characters and story. Fresh new experience. Story gets right to it but sticks to having fun with the premise and characters rather than deep tribulations of their loss and/or flaws and I do question the frequency of their ‘wins.’ But it’s not completely superfluous tho as the MC’s do have some depth. I do wish it was a tad less popcorn-flicky and a lil’ longer but will look forward to book 2 nonetheless. This entry is the beginning of a very fun series!
