Having enjoyed Adair’s The Last Survivors Series, this box set was a no-brainer. I loved the interesting new spin on the undead, and the characters, story, and action was very well done. A good book paints the setting and characters in your mind, and this was just like binging a good series on Netflix. I’d actually put it up there with Keith C. Blackmore’s Mountain Man series, just solid apocalyptic storytelling without any supernatural sprinkles or colossal potholes.
