This is a fairly good story so far, but I have much higher hopes for the second book in the series. I’m hoping that the oversharing of every single little thought the MC has and an overabundance of extraneous details that aren’t necessary to advance the story or set the scene. It is still enjoyable but it gets annoying. However, I don’t regret the purchase and will get the second book. I’m just hoping that the author found a good editor for their second volume. It would make this book go from good to excellent.
