This book is truly a mesh of genres- prepper fiction, romance, drama, mystery, thriller, suspense and action. I loved learning more about the characters I grew attached to in the first book. The humor woven throughout and the exchanges between Rick and Opus had me cracking up. Boyd Craven III was able to put such an air of fear and suspense into the book that I could feel it resonating inside me. I highly recommend this series.
Kevin Pierce’s narration adds to the suspenseful quality of the book. His voice, intonation and pitch all come together in an excellent performance.
