I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. Jennifer Ann has written a captivating story of first love, mistakes made, parental abuse, parental support and sacrifices, misunderstandings, and a second chance for love. Even though Isabelle’s family was poor and Roman’s was rich they both faced family problems. The character development is heartwarming and heart-wrenching to watch. We watch them go from teenagers that make mistakes and have misunderstandings to adults that are still in love but must face demons from their past. The author made you feel all of the emotions that the characters felt. They faced so many challenges that most teenagers and young adults thankfully don’t have to face.
The narrators did a wonderful job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters and this brought them to life. They gave them age appropriate voices. They held my attention throughout the story. I highly recommend this Audible book. Isabelle and Roman had to conquer so many obstacles to be together.
