This second book in the series builds on the foundations in the first book: Angel and Simeon’s deep love and growing mate bond, Daniel’s new life as Angel’s apprentice, Isaac’s new appreciation of his brother, and one adorable wee beastie. More mystery, murders, and magic appear, along with some new friends and even an Elf! A confrontation between Angel and the oldest, strongest vampire in the city, Batiste, is so wonderfully written! This book is amazing, and I highly recommend it. Joel Leslie does an impeccable job performing all the different characters with voices and subtle nuances that bring each vividly to life!
